Biography

Dr. Jehoshaphat Jombwe is a Senior Consultant and Head, Gastro Intestinal unit of the Directorate of
Surgery, Mulago National Specialized Hospital. He is also a Council Member, Examiner and Uganda’s
Country Representative to the College Of Surgeons Of East, Central and Southern Africa.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery; and Master of Medicine in Surgery from
Makerere University. He is also a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa.

He is an Honorary Associate Professor of Surgery at St Augustine University, Kampala and an Honorary
Lecturer at the Department of Surgery, Makerere University College of Health Sciences.

He served as the President of the Association of Surgeons of Uganda from 2011-2013.

In the community, he is a Member of the Lukiiko (Parliament) in the Buganda Kingdom, and an Executive Member of St. Stephen Church of Uganda, Kabowa.
