Biography

Dr. Namugenyi is a General Surgeon working at Thika Level 5 Hospital in Kenya.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Kampala International University and a Master of Medicine in Surgery at Makerere University. She also completed a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery by the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. She has recently been admitted to a surgical leadership fellowship program at Harvard Medical School.

She serves as the ASOU Chair scientific committee 2023 & 2024 organising the Annual Scientific Conference, Surgical Landscape Exhibition, and Registrar’s symposium. She is a Member specialist of College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA), She also coordinates MCS COSECSA training at Thika Level 5 Hospital. She has organised the Women in Surgery in Uganda High Tea events.

She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Bambi & Kesta Love Ltd. – Kesta Fashions and a Member of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI)
